Safe Watersports in the vicinity of the MOD Shoeburyness Range

QinetiQ operates the live firing range in Shoeburyness and Foulness Island in Essex known as MOD (Ministry of Defence) Shoeburyness. The range is active Monday to Friday (occasionally at weekends), all year round conducting tests that involve firing live ammunition, often over long distances out to sea. QinetiQ have issued a leaflet, and also have information for mariners on their web site.
